This method is considered an important aspect of the mainstream educational framework. It is more of an educational practice than a teaching method as it helps in the assessment during the teaching.

This type of learning or process can be used both for a beginner activity and in the assessment of the students. Peer to peer learning involves a pair of peers responsible enough to brainstorm on or assess ideas. In short, this method is the rise of experiential learning because it involves the input of two or more people with different sets of experiences, opinions, and views, resulting in a coordinative and combined result.

5. RESEARCH-BASED TEACHING

Research-based learning or teaching holds an important part of the new methods, specifically in teaching science. It tends to be one of the subjects that require intense and timely research for the advancements happening globally.

It involves independent research carried out by students on a particular topic after its brief overview by the facilitator. Most of the time, in such types of teaching methods, there is no predetermined outcome as it depends upon the individual’s skill to research specific topics in respective capacity.

6. DISCUSSION BASED TEACHING:

This method adds the element of discussion and brainstorming along with the traditional way of teaching i.e. delivering a lecture. This type of strategy also helps to establish a bond of understanding between the students and the teachers.

It is begun by determining the student’s knowledge of the topic through either brainstorming or a question and answers session, followed by a lecture. After the lecture, a whole level of discussion takes place for understanding and assessment purposes. It is one of the most used methods to teach science, and has more benefits as compared to others, as follows:
